Bank of Valletta has once again demonstrated how strong employee engagement can translate into meaningful community impact through two initiatives supporting the Puttinu Cares Foundation and Dar Bjorn.

One initiative, led by colleagues within the Bank’s Personal and Wealth team and supported by the management team of BOV Fund Services Limited, transformed a team‑building cooking activity into a fundraising effort. Sixty employees prepared and sold food items to colleagues across the Bank, raising funds in aid of Puttinu Cares. The donation was presented at the Oncology Ward at Mater Dei Hospital, contributing towards the foundation’s ongoing support for young patients and their families.

In a separate initiative, colleagues from across the Bank participated in a staff‑wide dress‑down day themed around sports to raise funds for Dar Bjorn and ALS Malta. The initiative combined participation and fundraising, with the Bank doubling the amount collected. The final donation was presented to Bjorn and Maria Formosa during a visit by Bank of Valletta’s senior management.

Together, these initiatives highlight Bank of Valletta’s commitment to social responsibility and demonstrate how collective effort, creativity and teamwork can provide tangible support to organisations that make a real difference within the community.
